Pilots for peace

Article Abstract:

The SAF stands ready on 30 days notice as of 1 January 2001 for deployment on Peace Support Operations, in Europe in accordance with Swedish Government's decision reached on 21 June 2000. The new mission involves the creation of the Swedish Air Force AJS 37 Rapid Reaction Unit (SWARFRAP AJS 37) and Swedish Air Force C-130 Rapid Reaction Unit (SWARFRAP C-130).

The US Army in 2005 and beyond: Strategically agile and adaptive

Article Abstract:

The US Army is transforming into a modular capability-based unit designed within a joint networks, which is enabled by a joint and expeditionary mindset inspite of the on-going operations as of February 2005. The Army is making itself into a more lighter, faster, and more strategically agile and adaptive unit for achieving better results in its operations.

Land warfare in the information age: The soldier as the ultimate instrument of land warfare

The advent of information technology in the Land Warfare has truncated the amount of time taken to reconnoiter, gain situational awareness, assess, pass orders and execute even the most complex of tasks. Details of the various accessories provided to the soldiers for their respective combat operations are discussed.
