Pittsburgh Council marks 20 years of support for namesake submarine

The Pittsburgh Council commemorated the 20th anniversary of the commissioning of the attack submarine USS Pittsburgh and 20 years of support for the boat by the council's USS Pittsburgh Relief Crew. The USS Pittsburgh has supported the Relief Crew by sponsoring 24 day cruises, eight tiger cruises and eight other visits by Navy Leagues and Relief Crew members to the boat.

NSCC International Exchange Program provides world of cultural experience

Article Abstract:

The US Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) International Exchange Program is sending selected students to different nations to experience the their marine traditions and training and the native culture. In exchange, young people from Sea Cadet programs in those countries travel to the US for much the same experience.
