Protector- Spear in the naval arena

Article Abstract:

The Protector, an ideal weapon system than can perform a wide variety of missions and has a unique capability for long and continuous operation, with minimal attrition of manpower and assets, thus minimizing operation and maintenance costs. Rafael's protector is an unmanned integrated naval combat system, based on unmanned surface vehicles and is able to conduct a wide spectrum of critical missions, while eliminating unnecessary risk to personal and capital assets.

European frigates and corvettes- From specialization to general purpose

Article Abstract:

Frigates are the workforces of any Navy and are charged with a number of roles, covering nearly everything from high-intensity naval warfare-including traditional tasks as air-defense, anti-submarine warfare, down to constabulary patrols. The European Navies three basic types such as air-defense units, general frigates, and a low-cost component composed of corvettes and/or offshore patrol vessels (OPV).

Renewing the Royal Norwegian Navy

Article Abstract:

The transformation of Norwegian Navy is planned to set a clear focus and provide versatile tool to the forces actively working on international operations. A new fleet will be in proper shape by 2010 along with five new AEGIS-frigates with NH90 helicopters, six new Littoral Combat Ships, and six modernized submarines.
