Putin puts confidence in new generation of missiles

Article Abstract:

The Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared that his country has completed tests of latest nuclear rocket systems and its latest missile technology, which puts it on the cutting edge of tactical and strategic defense. The Bulava (SS-N-30), a submarine-launched ballistic missile, the Iskander M (SS-26 'Stone') missile, conventional cruise missiles are the three new generation missiles that has generated some doubts about the deterrence credibility as claimed by the president.

Putin faces reform dilemma

Article Abstract:

The need for reform in respect of political, economic and security issues has led the role of the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, in threat during the election. The various proposals put forth by Putin are described, where it is suggested that he has to use his power decisively to confront the key reform challenges facing him.

Putin under pressure from rise in terrorism

Article Abstract:

Reports suggest that there was a 56 percent increase in terrorist acts in Russia in 2003 and that criminal gangs carry out a number of attacks. With chances of more attacks on Moscow that are inevitable, political problem has aroused for Russian President Vladimir Putin and his allies within the security department.
