Article Abstract:

A review of the key market drivers and major players in the EOTFCS systems that include the Najir MM-Piros, Multisensor Stabilized Integrated System (MSIS), and Mirador is presented. The turnaround in the Electro-optical tracking and fire-control systems (EOTFCS), recognized by many navies, is due to the result of significant technical advancement in the EO field and wholesale changes in the operational environment.

Longbow receives Sampson P2 multifunction radar ahead of trials

Article Abstract:

The second pre-production (P2) Sampson E/F-band multifunction radar (MFR) was installed aboard the guided weapons trials barge Longbow at Portsmouth after the completion of test and qualification activities at BAE Systems Integrated System Technologies (Insyte's) Cowes site on the Isle of Wight. It will transit to a mooring off the CEM range in early 2007 with a first firing event planned for mid year.
