ROVER enhances FAC air-ground co-ordination

Article Abstract:

A new version of the L-3 Communications manpackable Remote Operated Video Enhanced Receiver (ROVER), that equips forward air controllers (FACs) to receive realtime full-motion video from a wide range of airborne platforms, will launch in early 2007. It is revealed that the ROVER-IV variant will have an additional S-band receive capability, to add to the L-band, C-band and Ku-band receive modes provided by the current ROVER III version.

Pentagon utilizes operational assessment to evaluate seeker for force protection

Article Abstract:

An operational assessment of the Seeker SB7L-360A aerial surveillance platform, Manufactured by the Seabird Aviation Jordan LLC, was conducted at Jordan by the US military and government officials. The Seeker features a pusher engine and a high wing to the rear of its cabin, giving the crew helicopter levels of visibility and a high level of situation awareness.
