Russian AFVs get comprehensive upgrades

Article Abstract:

A complete range of upgrades is marketed by Russia's Muromteplovoz Company for the Russian BRDM-2 (4 x 4) amphibious reconnaissance vehicle and the BTR-60 (8 x 8) armored personnel carrier (APC). The upgrades include a variety of modified features such as improved firepower, a modified manually operated turret with increased elevation, a more fuel-efficient engine with an increased operating range, and belly wheels fitted for increased trench crossing capability.

RWS afforded capability to fire Javelins

Article Abstract:

An upgrade was developed to KongsbergEs Protector remote weapon station (RWS) by the General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) in collaboration with Kongsberg Protech and the US Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Evaluation Center. The RWS gives it the capability to fire Lockheed Martin Javelin fire-and-forget anti-armor missiles and can be operated in superelevation in order to engage targets out to its maximum range.

STK develops modular upgrade for M113 APC

Article Abstract:

Singapore Technologies Kinetics (STK) has developed its own upgrade to the M113 armored personnel carrier (APC) which is still a widely used vehicle of its type in the world. The STK upgrade kit was conceived to enhance the performance of the existing M113s and to cover the key areas of mobility and firepower.
