Search-and-rescue helo could be ready by 2009

Article Abstract:

New helicopters are expected to be available by 2010 for the combat search-and-rescue crews of the U.S. Airforce which needs 132 new helicopters to replace its 105 HH-60G Pave Hawks, the price tag of which could be $11.5 billion. The US101 is expected to carry 30 troops or 16 stretchers and will be powered by three engines.

Wanted: Maintainers: U.S. Air Force reservists to work with active units

Article Abstract:

The Air Force Reserve Command and Air Combat Command (ACC) has introduced a project called as the Fighter Associate Program that is intended to keep the experienced airmen in service. According to the Air Force, this program would be a way to boost the skill level among the mechanics and pilots.
