Australia's future aerospace programmes: The Defense Capability Plan 2004-2014

Article Abstract:

The Australian Ministry of Defense has formulated the Defense Capability Plan (DCP) 2004-2010 at the conclusion of the most significant review of Defense's capability requirements since the Government's Defense White Paper, 'Defense 2000: Our Future Defense Force'. AIR 5276 (P-3 upgrade), AIR 5376 (F/A-18 upgrade) and AIR 5416 (Project ECHIDNA) are some of the main aerospace proposals as present in the DCP.

US Defence spending & QDR

Article Abstract:

U.S. defense spending especially with reference to the various trends in defense budget and the Pentagon's Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR), which will be completed by February 2006, are presented. The U.S. and the Pentagon should thoroughly evaluate the various options regarding procurement before arriving at any decision, as it is important not to delay any procurement decisions any longer.
