Stocksdale cadets lend hand at WWII memorial dedication

Article Abstract:

The celebration of the Memorial Day in the US nation's capital was more extensive than usual as a result of the dedication of the new World War II Memorial on the National Mall and the 60th anniversary of the D-Day invasion, which drew veterans of all the services from around the world. Along with providing service during the memorial dedication, the cadets were able to see some of the sights around Washington, and spent the morning after the ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery before heading home.

Navy League names its outstanding councils for 2003

Article Abstract:

Navy League's Council Awards Committee has announced its outstanding councils for the year 2003. They have selected ten councils as 'outstanding councils' for 2003, ten others were chosen as 'meritorious councils' and four others were given 'honorable mentions' and these selected councils will receive plaques and recognition at the Navy League National Convention in San Diego.

Navy League honors 2004 professional excellence awardees

Article Abstract:

The Navy League National President Sheila M. McNeill along with officials from the services and organizations presented the 2004 Professional Excellence Awards. Further the list of the awards and the names of the 2004 recipients, along with excerpts from the citations and nominating documents detailing their accomplishments are presented.
