Strategic strike: Fund it or lose it

Article Abstract:

The Defense Science Board (DSB) warned that unless steps are taken to create new programs and attract new expertise, the US strategic missile capabilities would soon become extinct. In March 2006 report titled 'Future Strategic Strike Skills', the DSB task force stated that the Defense Department has failed to make long-term plans for strategic systems or adequately fund their modernization.

The prescription for aerospace

Article Abstract:

The members of the Commission on the Future of the United States Aerospace industry, reflecting on the progress made since the release of its final report, stated that some of their recommendations are considered but others are ignored. The recommendations made in its 2002 report by the commission are mentioned.
