Sustaining amphibious attack

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted on the interrelated concepts of expeditionary maneuver warfare and ship-to-objective maneuver (STOM), and the most feasible current ship-to-shore (STS) amphibious assault capability. It is seen that there is a bulk fuel perspective established and a wide range of material requirements derived from the doctrinal concepts are pursued.

Decision support: an operational perspective

Article Abstract:

The Marine Corps is beginning to integrate the use of artificial intelligence into its operational decisionmaking procedures. This integration, as it affects war-making operations, is traced through a series of experiments.

Fires in support of amphibious operations - a status report; what the future holds for fires support

Article Abstract:

Amphibious operations will remain a vital part of America's combat planning, and a fully digital fires support network for such operations is being developed. This, and other, amphibious programs are discussed.
