Tenix defense is picked for New Zealand's project protector

Article Abstract:

Tenix Defense Systems of Australia is selected for New Zealand's Project Protector. The modernization program for the Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) worth $500 million will be upgrading the sea services to meet the goals of New Zealand's 2001 white paper. The RNZN requirements include one new multimission vessel (MRV), up to three helicopter-capable offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) and five inshore patrol vessels (IPVs).

The United States Coast Guard is a military, multimission, maritime service providing protection to the public, the environment, and U.S. economic and security interest on international water, along the U.S. coastline of the 95,000 miles.

Russian patrol vessel, frigate projects move forward

Article Abstract:

The Russian Navy has issued a new Request for Proposal (RfP) for the construction of 10-20 frigates in the 4,000-ton range on 28 February 2005, as the new projects were halted due to budgetary constrictions. Baltic Zavod and Severnaya Verf are the two shipyards that are considered as the frontrunners for the Frigate Dozorny program.
