Thales FVT series one-man operation turrets

Article Abstract:

Thales markets an extensive range of low-medium calibre weapon platforms including FVT series one-man turrets of which FVT800 turret is a highly cost effective combat with simple design and high built standards, capable of operating in all environmental conditions. FVT 940 enhances the capabilities of FVT 800 turret system and is fitted with a 40mm Automatic Grenade Launcher and co-axial General Purpose Machine Gun.

Article Abstract:

The emergency chemical, biological or radiological weapons (CBRNE) requirements provided by the US military after major disasters in the US, like the Katrina and the 9/11 incidents are discussed. There are few schools to train the US military to handle the urban incidents and the final hurdles in front of a holistic solution is to clear the non-conventional threat.
