Thales set to demonstrate DUMAS seeker

Article Abstract:

The Thales Group would supply a missile-seeker technology demonstrator known as DUMAS (Dual Mode Active IR and Imaging IR Seeker), under the terms of a GBP4.1 million contract from the Western European Armaments Organization (WEAO). DUMAS technology combines an active IR scanning laser and passive IR detector that used in conjunction with sophisticated algorithms, detects, images and identifies targets.

US trials advanced ADAD tracking system

Article Abstract:

Thales Land and Joint Systems has developed the expanded version of the Air Defense Alerting Device (ADAD) base on a new video sight display to give the user increased situation awareness in both air and ground areas. The ADAD system has a 240-degree field of vision and it can track ground vehicles, dismounted troops and descending parachutists.

Thales uses ITD as lever into naval market

Thales has entered into the naval shipbuilding market through a consultancy service product in the field of integrated topside design (ITD) for naval surface combatants. The ITD consultancy service is offered to naval combat system integrators around the world to support new ship designs, retrofits, and overhauls or study projects.
