The Polish defence industry restructuring programme

Article Abstract:

The Polish government has launched a restructuring program for the defense industry under two separate Parliamentary acts. One act deals with the restructuring of the indsutry and its effects on the modernization program of the Polish Armed Forces, while the other sets new rules for the industrial compensation/offset schemes related to the acquisition of defense equipment from foreign suppliers. The restructuring would involve radical changes in the ownership, financial structure and personnel levels of all defense-related industries.
