The Royal Danish Navy's modernisation programme

Article Abstract:

A Danish government committee presented a report based on Denmark's four-year defense plan which made specific recommendations on materiel acquisitions for the Royal Danish Navy. Seventeen ships belonging to the WILLEMOES Class FACs, NIELS JUEL Class corvettes and FALSTER Class minelayers will be replaced by six ships with a new design called the 'Large Standard Vessel.' The new design is to be built as two structures, the Command and Support Vessels and the Patrol Vessels.
