The Swedish submarine force in the future

Article Abstract:

A new Swedish Defense known as the Network Centric Warfare (NWC) is coupled with improved intelligence as well as precision guided munitions (PGM), which allows for accurate and timely strike on the enemy's treasured assets. The purpose of NCW is to accomplish a complete system collapse that can decrease the time between the detection and engagement of the target.

A year of celebration summer 2003-summer 2004

The Swedish Submarine Centennial held between May 2003 and August 2004 would represent the Swedish Submarine force, its history, mission, technology, people and future. It would underline the importance of submarines in their vital and cost effective role in defending Sweden and in international peace operations.

A historical retrospect: The origin in 1904

Article Abstract:

The first Swedish submarine known as Hajen, which was launched in 1904, is a small boat for missions within the archipelago. During the 1914-18 war the Swedish Submarine Force protected the territorial waters of Sweden and served excellent training platforms as well as gained momentum and experience.
