The modern non-nuclear submarine

Article Abstract:

The roles for the modern non-nuclear submarine is expected to further diversify on account of the renewed emphasis of using the underwater battlespace to influence events in the littorals and on land. Advanced propulsion technologies, new geometries of submarine hulls, specifically designed hull coatings, rudders, and propellers and advanced research in the field have resulted in improved capabilities of the modern conventional submarine to remain undetected for long periods of time while it searches, tracks or attacks from beneath the water surface.
