Three-tier Bundeshwehr

Article Abstract:

German Defense Minister, Peter Struck outlined a plan to restructure the Bundeshwehr into crisis reaction, stabilization, and support forces on January 2004. However, the President of the Association of the German Army, Retired Maj. Gen. Werner Widder criticized the plan by revealing that the transformation was under funded and did not place enough emphasis on homeland defense.

NATOEs surface warfare group considers adding land-attack capabilities to European navies with an aim to support combined-arms and joint force operations. One of the programs includes Primary Anti-Air Missile System (PAAMS) that comprises a command-and-control core, Aster missiles, a Sylver vertical launch system, and S1850M long-range radar.
