Training of the infantry enlisted leader

Article Abstract:

A comprehensive career-training program for the infantry enlisted leader is very important to combat effectiveness of the infantry battalion. The restructuring of the military occupational specialty (MOS) training and professional military education (PME) in order to ensure that the infantry enlisted leaders are able to fight is described.

MOS 9999 debate

Article Abstract:

The Marine Corps have recently raised some issues related to the 9999 military occupational specialty (MOS) serving in infantry battalions. One of the issues is whether the senior enlisted leader of an infantry battalion should have any MOS credibility relevant to the unit assigned to him.
