Triton trials - the world is watching..

Article Abstract:

Southampton, UK-based Vosper Thornycroft has developed the RV Triton, the UK's revolutionary ship. Its trimaran hull is claimed to be the most significant step in warship design since the advent of the ironclad ships of the 1960s. Its wide range of equipmnt demonstrates its flexibility and adaptability in undertaking various types of trials. In comparative sea- keeping scale-model tank tests, Triton performed well against models of the Royal Navy's Castle-class offshore patrol vessels.
