VOP-026: tradition, prosperity, perspective

Article Abstract:

VOP-026 is a Czech firm dating back to 1951, with a proud tradition of work involving tank and automobile technology. In the 21st century, the firm has established itself as a developer of specialized vehicles for military and commercial use. One of the company's projects is the creation of an infantry fighting vehicle for the Czech Army based on the BMP-1 chassis. The firm prides itself in being able to meet the stringent requirements of demanding clients, such as the Swedish Army.

DICOM means communications

Article Abstract:

Digital Communications s.r.o. or DICOM was established in 1993 to produce communication and navigation equipment for both civilian and military use. The firm puts a premium on quality, as can be gleaned from its testing and quality checks on both the development and production levels. Aside from the manufacture of communication and navigation devices, the firm also produces onboard aircraft electronics, analog and digital field phones and other digital technology equipment.

Israel Military Industries (IMI) is another state-owned business and is made up of eight major business units. IMI employs 4,200 people and has yearly revenues of US$50 million. More than half of its revenues comes from its 'Heavy Ammunition' subsidiary but the company offers a wide range of products. These include tank and AFV upgrades, all kinds of ammunition, Modular Stand-Off Vehicles MSOV and DELILAH for aircraft and air-launched tactical decoys.
