The U.S. Navy is involved in focusing on the numerous applied science-and-technology programs for its modernization with the help of Office of Naval Research (ONR) in Arlington, Virginia. This programs aims to provide unparalleled capabilities in areas such as autonomous operations, fleet/force protection, capable manpower, advanced capability electric system, and other areas for the future U.S. force.

The civilian contractors of Iraq are working together with the U.S. military personnel for the reconstruction of Iraq. These civilian contractors have provided the U.S. war fighters the vital logistic support in harsh and volatile environment in Iraq.
