WATCHKEEPER on the move

Article Abstract:

The WATCHKEEPER is designed to provide continuous 24/7 surveillance when needed, using unmanned air vehicles able to stay airborne for a couple of hours. It will consist of the WK450 UAV carrying sensors and a laser target designator with a data link to a network of containerized ground control stations where Army operators will control the whole mission and interface within a network enabled environment.

SOOTHSAYER marks u-turn for British EW

Lockheed Martin has been selected over Thales Communications as the supplier for Project SOOTHSAYER and it is their first electronic warfare (EW) success in the United Kingdom market. This proposal is for a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)-based system leveraging upon proven products and technologies.

BOWMAN at last!

The article describes the BOWMAN tactical communications system soon to be implemented, the result of a finalized contract between the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence and General Dynamics Ltd. BOWMAN consists of a radio technology-based, flexible and secure voice, image, and data system.
