Article Abstract:

The Marine Corps College of Continuing Education (CCE) will introduce the new-generation Command and Staff College and Expeditionary Warfare School Distance Education Programs beginning July 1, 2007, which will be a seminar-centric program where all future students will participate in seminars, either onsite or online. It is expected that the educationally sound and practical advantages of seminar participation will increase the competence of program graduates and better prepare them for the dynamic and complex challenges of meeting Marine Corps missions in the 21st century.

Reading for Marines

Article Abstract:

The concept of a Marine Corps Professional Reading Program is very effective, but its periodic revision should reflect the present and future needs of Marines. The reading program has some exceptional books for new Marines, mid-career Marines and senior institutional leaders and though the ideas in these books are sometimes silly and irrelevant to military effectiveness, it could be used as powerful political weapons.
