Washington report: Army announces BCT stationing plan

Article Abstract:

The US Army announced its repositioning plan for its new active component modular brigade combat teams (BCTs) at home and globally, as part of the largest restructuring since World War II. The new stationing would allow soldiers and their families more stability with up to five years at a station and would better position the Army to respond to threats.

The 49th Armored Division in Bosnia

Article Abstract:

The Bosnian peacekeeping mission of 16 soldiers from the 49th Aviation Brigade, led by Maj. Michael E. Dye, is described. The National Guard commanded active duty forces for the first time since World War II.
