AFLAC duck gives wings to insurer's name recognition

Article Abstract:

American Family Life Insurance Co (AFLAC) will use a duck riding in a roller coaster as it continues it marketing campaign across the US. The duck will ride in a roller coaster in an advertisement that is part of a major-long partnership with Six Flags Corp. AFLAC will connect its name with 18 Six Flags wooden roller coasters throughout the country. The theme parks will air the commercial and duck trivia on an in-park television network. In 2000, the duck's antics were effective in the company's sales promotions.

Burger King plans toys fit for a kid under age 3

Article Abstract:

Burger King is nationally launching Sassy toys in meals for kids younger than three. The fastfood chain has entered into a multiyear partnership with the North Brook, IL-based toy company that specializes in developmentall appropriate toys for children. The proram gives Burger King a thirds age group for toy premiums with meals. In 1999, it introduced a Big Kids Meal which was targeted for children aged 7-11.
