Adventure film outfit takes on TV

Real Action Pictures Inc. has shifted from making adventure films for ski and snowboard fanatics to television program production. The company has just completed a full season of 22 half-hour series called 'Edge I.' The show is being carried out by a group of Canadian and international broadcasters such as Outdoor Life Network, CTV Sport Net Inc., CHUM Ltd.'s CITY-TV group and A-Channel. Real Action Pictures is currently filming 'Edge II' in South America, Europe and Asia, with Discovery Channel as co-producer and co-financer.

Superior Propane Inc.'s planned acquisition of ICG Propane Inc. has been approved by the Federal Court of Appeal in Canada. The 175 million Canadian dollar deal was opposed by Canada's Competition Bureau.
