Recycling 'Millionaire' (minus the money)

Article Abstract:

In this month's Computer Gaming World readers' poll, none of the top 40 games were based on film or TV shows. Jellyvision's Who Wants to be a Millionaire, SouthPeak Interactive's The Dukes of Hazzard: Racing Home, and The Collective's Star Trek Deep Space 9: The Fallen offer satisfying gaming experiences. The rest of the games reviewed here, SouthPeak Interactive's Wild, Wild West: The Steel Assassin; Berkeley Systems' Austin Powers: Operation Trivia; and Hypnotix's Sabrina the Teenage Witch: Brat Attack, did not translate as well.

Thief II stresses stealth over strength

Article Abstract:

The computer game 'Thief II: The Metal Age' is an adventure game that emphasizes thievery and stealth, and penalizes the player for using violence. The player plays the role of Garrett, a master thief, who is recruited to go on various missions to help overthrow a cult that worships machines and is turning the poor into robots. The game is entertaining, and although the game engine has its limitations (the people in the game never acknowledge each other), it is refreshing to play a game that doesn't glorify violence.
