Campeau is back: a fallen tycoon resurfaces to build homes in Berlin

Article Abstract:

Campeau left Canada in disgrace in 1990, after his real estate Campeau Corp almost went bankrupt due to heavy debt. Now Campeau lives in Germany and is developing a $650-million subdivision called Muhlendorf in the town of Teltow. A brief history of Campeau's business ventures is given.

The Feb 1991 victory of the US against Iraq was more equivocal than was initially claimed. Cruise missiles and the Stealth bomber were far less successful than was first reported. Saddam Hussein is still in power, Iraqi children are starving and Kurds are still being persecuted.
