Daimler, IBM fill van with software

Article Abstract:

DaimlerChrysler has partnered with International Business Machines Corp (IBM) for the Mobile Executive Office installed in the Mercedes-Benz V-class, available in Europe at $12,000. The former intends to see European reaction to the mobile office before it decides to bring the system into the US. The system includes a desk with an IBM laptop and printer, phone, fax and Internet access. The system also features voice recognition capabilities and a software that will support efficient data transmission.

CHINA: HUA HONG STILL IN LISTING NEGOTIATION

Article Abstract:

Shanghai Hua Hong Group (Hua Hong) has rejected the claim saying that it has named an underwriter for a proposed listing exercise. The firm's sources confirmed on 4 January 2001 that it is currently in negotiating stage for the exercise. Earlier, the Chinese semiconductor maker has bared its interest to seek for a listing status on the Hong Kong bourse.
