Dealing for Gulfstream

Article Abstract:

General Dynamics has acquired Savannah, GA-based corporate jet manufacturer Gulfstream Aerospace for $4.6 billion under a stock swap agreement. Gulfstream shareholders will receive one share of General Dynamics for each of their shares under the deal, which still needs approval from shareholders and regulators. The acquisition comes at a time of increasing demand for corporate jets, which the National Business Aircraft Association says are being used by about 60% of Fortune 500 companies.
