Face to face with death: The funeral industry is opening up to newcomers who want to comfort families in mourning

Article Abstract:

Restorative Art is a degree progam aimed at future funeral directors that is a part of New England Institute's funeral service curriculum at Mount Ida College in Newton, Massachusetts. Earlier directing funerals was a family business, but with the stigma attached to funeral business is decreasing hence the industry is now opening up to newcomers who are drawn to the mortuary schools not only with the idea of offering comfort and guidance to families in their mourning but to get a steady paycheck.

Severe punishment is meted out to foreigners found guilty of possessing drugs in Indonesia as shown in the case of Schappelle Corby, Renae Lawrence the alleged ringleader of Bali Nine and Scott Rush, a Queenslander. After the 2002 bombings, Australians were just beginning to come once again to Bali, but with these harsh convictions, it seems that Australians may once again boycott the islands.

Graham Kennedy's close friend and sidekick recalls his experiences with him and the friendship they shared. He was a sublime performer who created and sustained the uproarious ruler of Australia's airwaves and spent his last years in NSW in isolation and suffered a variety of illnesses until his death at the age of 69.
