Lawsuits hit Net music downloaders

Article Abstract:

The U.S.-based Recording Industry Association of America has launched hundreds of new lawsuits against individuals allegedly involved in illegal downloading of copyrighted music via the Internet. Industry analysts said that the lawsuits, which number 261, may signal a new front in the recording industry's effort against copyright infringement.

Canadian dips on list of world's 500 biggest firms
