Article Abstract:

Cancer victim Terry Fox raised $24 million for cancer research by attempting to run across Canada in 1980. Fox crossed two-thirds of the country. Runs in his honor are held yearly in September and have raised close to $100 million for research by the National Cancer Institute of Canada.
