Norshield blames bad press for fund redemptions

Article Abstract:

Hedge fund company Norshield Financial Group is facing the brunt of bad publicity following reports in the media about its legal cases. The legal dispute with Montreal based animation company Cinar Corp., is the primary reason for bad press. Following the reports of legal dispute, investors have withdrawn substantial amounts even though the company's investment fundamentals are strong.

Giustra leaving Lions Gate

Lions Gate Entertainment Corp.'s investor Frank Giustra is divesting his share in the company for US$5.5 million. Giustra, who sold his shares to Platinum Equity LLC's chief executive Tom Gores, is also leaving his post as Lion Gate's chairman and director.
