High-tech stampede batters markets

The Toronto Stock Exchange 300 is worth less on Dec 21, 2000, than it was on Sep 1, 2000 by $248 billion Canadian. A major rush to sell technology stocks has caused major decreases on this exchange and other major exchanges in North America.
