Prevention of urinary incontinence in adults: Population-based strategies

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to identify key populations at risk for urinary incontinence and propose population-based strategies to promote continence with a substantive focus on urinary incontinence (UI) prevention. It is concluded that due of its high prevalence, chronic and preventable nature, UI is considered a public health problem, hence it is suggested that nursing research is needed to test prevention programs for UI using a population-based public health focus.
