Article Abstract:

Ad Store, based in New York, NY, was established by Paul Cappelli in 1993 to offer services different from those provided by traditional advertising agencies. With Ad Store, Cappelli could do his kind of job-shop advertising without sacrificing quality. Compared to big agencies, Ad Store is more profitable per employee, generating almost $6 million in its 1999 revenue. Cappelli claimed that his profit margins are from 48%-52%, whereas big agencies' profit margins are only around 10%.
