Rogers plans marketing deals with Quebec firms

Article Abstract:

Rogers AT and T Wireless, which is the wireless and paging division of Toronto, Ont.-based Rogers Communications Inc., is seeking to form marketing alliances with Montreal, Que.-based Cogeco Cable Inc. and Montreal, Que.-based Groupe Videotron ltee. The cable television companies would market Rogers AT and T Wireless' services in Quebec in the deal.

Ottawa to unveil spectrum bidders list

Microcell Telecommunications Inc., Telus Corp./Clearnet Communications Inc., Rogers Wireless Inc. and Bell Mobility are expected to bid on new wireless spectrum licenses. Industry Canada will release the names of bidders, which also may include Mobileexchange Ltd. and Wireless2net Inc.

Microcell exits wireless auction

Article Abstract:

Montreal, Quebec-based Microcell Telecommunications Inc. has withdrawn from bidding for new wireless spectrum licenses. Microcell, which is a mobile telephone services company, was bidding against the country's five manor telecom firms.
