Ford: more buyers, more money

Article Abstract:

Ford Motor Co Vice Pres Wolfgang Reitzle disclosed that he is not worried about the prevailing declining demand for new cars and trucks in the US. He considers the slowdown as a challenge for the automaker to streamline its operations and refocus on cost-cutting measures that will not sacrifice product quality. He also believes that 2001 holds a big opportunity for Ford as it is about to launch its Premier Automotive Group, an agglomeration of the company's upscale brands.
