Cygnal acquires network firm

Cygnal Technologies Corp. (Oshawa, Ont.) has acquired Integrated Cable Systems Inc. (Toronto), a provider of data and Internet networks, for $19-million. The acquisitions will boost Cygnal's revenue by about $40-million, and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization by about 12 months. Cygnal had revenue of about $60-million in 1999.
