The king of cable: Ted Rogers is in the middle of a heated debate over the future of Canadian television

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission will decide whether or not the cable television industry will be granted a 10% fee increase to head off competition. The issue of the integration of the telephone, television and computer industries is examined.

Flood has many plans to help the CIBC adjust its management practices to cope with the slow growth, low inflation economic cycle predicted for the 1990s. Flood predicts that small- to medium-sized businesses will benefit greatly from the changes, which are described.

Paul Allen, Steven Jobs and Stephen Wozniak were part of the personal-computer revolution 15 years ago, but all three have left the companies where they started. Allen was a partner in Microsoft Corp, while Jobs and Wozniak founded Apple Computer.
