Fairway Molds of Los Angeles, CA, and Toronto, Canada-based Tradesco Mold Ltd have merged to form StackTeck Systems Inc, but the two firms will continue to operate independently under their respective management groups. StackTeck's two divisions will cooperate in technology exchanges, coordinated financial activities and marketing. StackTeck's future acquisitions of additional mold shops with specialized market niches are part of the new firm's expansion program.

Stronach set to ascend throne of Austria's major soccer league

Article Abstract:

Canadian auto parts magnate Frank Stronach is expected to be named president of Austria's major soccer league. Stronach, founder of Magna International Inc, has earlier announced plans to invest up to C$122 million to revive the league's teams. The Austrian native's involvement in Austrian soccer is thought to be part of a grander scheme to introduce a pan-European sports and gambling television channel with Austria as launchpad.

Archie McLean: a loyal corporate lieutenant departs, citing too many cooks in the McCain kitchen

Former Maple Leaf Foods CEO Archie McLean said he left the company because 'there were too many cooks.' He declined to further comment on his successor, Michael McCain, son of owner Wallace McCain and who McLean earlier described as not yet ready for the job. McLean said he plans to go back to running a business, not necessarily in the food industry, after he spends some time with his family.
