Recycling mania

Article Abstract:

Major companies like IBM Corp and Procter & Gamble are now recycling their waste materials. However, these industry giants need a national recycling program to optimize the effectiveness of their respective programs. Many experts also believe that such a program is necessary to solve the garbage problem, lessen pollution and conserve energy. The government can stimulate an increased demand for recycled products by specifying recycled goods and prohibiting certain forms of trash in the landfills.

Girl talk: the cows, horses and trains of childhood are long gone, and to a mother, the world looks unfamiliar

Article Abstract:

A woman recalls the joy of reliving forgotten aspects of her childhood when she brought them to the attention of her baby daughter. However by the time her child entered her teens, this sharing was no longer possible. The woman acknowledges that the new world opening up to her daughter also means loss.
