Article Abstract:

An Australian recruiting firm released a survey in Jun 1999 that found 57% of employees aspired to work from home. Telecommuting is favored among many employees because of its flexibility, but some have doubts about eliminating social interaction, and erasing the divide between work and home. The internet and other technologies are expected to play a key role in increasing production in a distributed workplace.
