Tourists in a culinary theme park

Article Abstract:

Simple, well-prepared British food is increasingly difficult to find in London, UK. The greatest demand is for restaurants to simplify their cuisine and their interiors, resulting in thematically-oriented spaces such as London's Pharmacy whose decor matches its name. Sydney, Australia has the MG Garage, where diners eat next to new cars that are available for purchase. The tendency to treat restaurants as theme parks is increasing.

Parma porkers press case for purity

Article Abstract:

The English supermarket chain Asda is being sued by the Consorzio del Prosciutto de Parma for claiming that its ham is from Parma. The ham from Parma was produced locally using traditional methods, but was sliced and packaged in England and therefore is not Parma ham. European Union legislation addresses the sale of regional speciality products through strict labeling laws.
