Trilon boosts dividend

Article Abstract:

Trilon Financial Corp. of Toronto, Ontario, will take advantage of robust earnings with profits rising by 29% to $44 million during the third quarter of 1998 to improve its quarterly dividend by 20% to 12 cents per share. Trilon Financial president and chief executive officer George Myhal noted that the firm's earnings have risen for every quarter of 1998. The company, which surprised analysts with its latest performance, posted just $34 million in profits in 1997.
