Wild about Harry

Article Abstract:

Harry Evans is a controversial figure, not averse to making public statements that some would consider outrageous, although he is employed by the senate, he appears to hold politicians in contempt, is scornful and suspicious of executive government of whatever political stripe. Evan's appointment as clerk of the senate could be terminated if a majority of senators voted to find him guilty of misbehavior.

Centre of attention

Article Abstract:

The way powerful people reacted to Kerry Packer was an indicatation of the power, which he possessed. He had access to the nation's political leaders, and could undoubtedly be intimidating in confrontations with politicians but he never sought to exercise his politics through the news bulletins of the TV networks he controlled.
